INSPECTION LEVELS
LEVEL 1
- In process inspection of the dimensions that apply to the operation being performed.
- Visually inspect the router during final inspection. Make sure that all manufacturing processes are completed and signed off.
- Visually inspect the work piece for workmanship. Work pieces are to be free of burr’s, scratches, dirt, signs of broken or worn tooling etc.
LEVEL 2
Level 2 includes all the requirements of Level 1 plus the following:
- Documentation is required for identified critical and major characteristics called out on the router.
- Data is recorded on the Inspection data sheet (FR-08-05) provided with the routing.
LEVEL 3
Level 3 includes all the requirements of Level 2 plus the following:
- Documentation is required for critical and major characteristics.
- Data is recorded on the Inspection data sheet (FR-08-05) provided with the routing.
- A Certification of compliance (FR-10-03) may be required depending on the customers specifications. Examples may include: Certification of Quality, Heat treat, Material, etc.
