Southern Ohio Manufacturing Inc. is an ISO 9001-2000 CERTIFIED machine shop located in Amelia, Ohio. Our facility is composed of 10,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 2,000 square feet of office space.

Our company was founded in 1984. Since that time, we have become a major provider of quality components to the machine tool and power generation industries in the United States as well as an important provider of quality products for the commercial building trades.

The principle practice of Southern Ohio Manufacturing, Inc. is to manufacture quality components to our customer’s drawings and specifications. We also design and build tooling and fixtures for special needs and new product manufacturing. Over the years, we have become well-known for manufacturing replacement parts for a wide range of manufacturing equipment.

OUR MISSION

Southern Ohio Manufacturing’s mission is to provide our customers with on time delivery and 100% quality components. We have also implemented an improved process procedure along with updated equipment which will provide a measurable improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.

CERTIFICATION

We are certified thru the “Registrar Accreditation Board (ANSI- RAB)” to the requirements of ISO 9001-2000 in the area of “Contract Manufacturing of Component Parts to Industry”.

Certificate Number: 37617 ISO 9001-2000 certification summarizes the effectiveness of our past practices in meeting the task of delivering required quality levels, on time, to our customers. The Quality process begins when the request for quotation is received and, does not end until our customer’s requirements are satisfied.

We perform First Piece Inspection through out the process, followed by sample inspection up to 100 % inspection of critical and major characteristics. A final inspection is performed, prior to shipment, to one of three specified inspection levels to confirm our customer’s requirements have been fulfilled.
